What is intimate brightening?
It’s a professional treatment designed to reduce hyperpigmentation and improve skin tone in areas like the bikini line, inner thighs, and anal area. The treatment can be performed anywhere on the neck down and is safe for all skin tones.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on how many areas you are wanting to treat. Current pricing for one area starts at $287.50. This includes the cost of your full size home care kit. Each session there after for one area starts at $143.75. For 2 or more areas - see membership option for best savings. Prices are subject to change. Consultation required. To book, see the "book now" tab on our website.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need a series of treatments. 3-6 treatments on average however, clients may need more sessions. Results build over time and is based on severity of hyperpigmentation, lifestyle, consisency with treatments and proper use of home care. Consistency is key.
Do I need a consultation?
A consultation is required before treatment to review your medical history, skin condition, and goals to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you. Every client is assessed individually before starting a brightening program or any new service. The brightening treatment recommended will vary by person. Your $45 fee will apply toward any booked service if booked within 60 days of consultation.
Do you offer packages or memberships?
Yes. We offer memberships for clients working on 2 or more areas or wanting consistent results. These are typically the best value.
Is it safe?
Yes, when performed professionally and with proper aftercare. We tailor treatments based on your skin type and concerns. In most cases, there is no pain associated with our intimate brightening procedure.
Can I wax before or after?
There must be a gap between waxing and brightening treatments. Approximately, waxing or sugaring can be done 72 hrs before your brightening treatment.
Is there downtime?
You may experience mild sensitivity or light peeling, depending on the treatment. Most clients can resume normal activities quickly.
How long do results last?
Results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as skin type, hormones, friction, hair removal habits, and consistency with home care. Most clients begin seeing improvement within a few treatments, with optimal results typically achieved after a series of sessions.
Once your desired results are reached, most clients maintain their results with a touch-up treatment approximately every 8-10 weeks. Consistent home care and reducing friction in the treated area can help prolong your results and minimize the need for more frequent maintenance.
Are there any contraindications?
You may not be a candidate for treatment, or may need to postpone treatment, if you have:
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Active infections (yeast infections, UTIs, herpes outbreaks, etc.)
Open cuts, wounds, rashes, or irritated skin in the treatment area
Recent waxing, shaving irritation, or other hair removal that has caused inflammation (within 72 hrs).
Recent use of prescription-strength topical medications in the area
Certain skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis when actively flaring
Recent sunburn or skin trauma
A history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring (depending on the treatment being performed)
Yes — a consultation helps us understand your skin goals and recommend the right treatment plan for you. We’ll review your concerns, relevant medical history, and current products, then map out a customised approach. An in-person consultation is recommended, but a virtual consult is available if needed. Your $45 consultation fee can be applied toward a booked service when you schedule within 30 days of your consult.
Which facial is right for me?
That depends on your skin goals. We customize treatments based on acne, hyperpigmentation, texture, or overall skin health.
Do chemical peels cause peeling?
Some peels cause visible peeling, others do not. This depends on the type of peel used. Peeling or not does not determine the efficacy of the peel itself.
How often should I get a facial?
Most clients benefit from treatments every 4–6 weeks.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
It’s best to wait at least 24 hours, depending on the treatment.
Will I break out after a facial?
Some clients may experience a temporary purge as the skin clears out congestion.
How long does my hair need to be?
Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice for best results.
How often should I get waxed?
Every 4–6 weeks for maintenance.
Can I get waxed before a brightening treatment?
Yes, but it must be done several days before your treatment to avoid irritation.
Will it hurt?
There is some discomfort, especially if it’s your first time, but it becomes easier with consistency.
What should I avoid before my appointment?
Avoid exfoliating, active skincare, or shaving right before your wax.
What Type of Laser Do You Use?
We use a versatile Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser, a technology widely known for its ability to target unwanted pigment while minimizing damage to the surrounding skin. This type of laser is suitable for a variety of concerns and can be used on many skin tones when performed by a trained provider.
What Can the Laser Treat?
Our Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser can help improve a variety of concerns, including:
Hyperpigmentation and dark spots
Sun damage and freckles
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
Uneven skin tone
Melasma (in appropriate candidates)
Acne marks and certain acne scars
Pigmentation in intimate areas
Pigmented lesions
Tattoo removal
Skin rejuvenation and overall skin clarity
Does Laser Treatment Hurt?
Most clients tolerate treatment very well. The sensation is often described as a quick snapping feeling, similar to a rubber band against the skin. The level of discomfort varies depending on the treatment area, your individual pain tolerance, and the condition being treated.
To help keep you comfortable, we use cooling measures during treatment whenever appropriate. Most sessions are completed in under an hour, and clients are typically able to return to their normal activities shortly afterward. A consultation will help determine what you can expect based on your specific treatment plan.
Other common laser questions:
How many treatments will I need?
Treatment plans vary based on the concern being treated, but most clients require a series of sessions for optimal results.
When will I see results?
Some clients notice improvement after their first treatment, while others see gradual changes over several weeks as the skin heals and pigment breaks down.
Does the laser work on all skin tones?
Our Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser is considered one of the safest laser technologies for a wide range of skin tones. A consultation is required to determine if you are a candidate.
What is the downtime?
Downtime varies depending on the treatment performed. Many clients experience temporary redness, mild swelling, or darkening of pigment before it fades.
Can I return to work after treatment?
Most clients return to normal activities the same day, though post-care instructions must be followed carefully.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, and certain active skincare products before treatment. Specific instructions will be provided during your consultation.
What should I avoid after treatment?
Post-care may include avoiding heat, excessive sweating, sun exposure, and certain skincare products for a short period of time.
Is laser treatment safe for intimate areas?
Yes. When appropriate, laser treatments can be safely performed on intimate areas to address pigmentation concerns. A consultation is required to determine suitability.
Can I get laser treatment if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
As a precaution, laser treatments are generally not performed during pregnancy.
Who is not a candidate for laser treatment?
Certain medical conditions, medications, active infections, recent tanning, or skin conditions may make you ineligible for treatment. A consultation is required to review contraindications.
Can laser treatment permanently remove hyperpigmentation?
Laser treatment can significantly improve pigmentation, but factors such as hormones, friction, inflammation, sun exposure, and lifestyle habits can contribute to future discoloration. Maintenance treatments may be recommended.
Do you offer consultations before treatment?
Yes. Every client begins with a consultation to review medical history, assess the treatment area, discuss expectations, and create a customized treatment plan.
